Summary: Describes how Canada became an inpendent country. Explores the influence of the United States. Evaluates the decision of independence from Great Britain.
War is what made Canada what it is today. Without the war Canada wouldn't of distinguished the qualities that they realized during the war and after the war. The war is what made Canada realize that Canada can live alone and that it can survive without the help of other countries. The war impacted on Canada in many ways: moving away from Britain, getting closer with the US and the war changed Canada economically. Canada started to move away from Britain because Canada realizes they can live without Britain. As the moved away from Britain they got close with US since they share one border they started to get close in many other ways also. One thing that helped Canada realized that becoming a country isn't as easy as you think as it is when they were economically challenged. These are some of the things that war affected...
