Government's Role on Pornography Censorship of the Internet

Pornography and the tastes for it are no new phenomenon to people. However, with the creation of the internet, it is easier to get access to pornography than ever before.

The problem the American government is facing is how to rule on censorship over material that would not be permitted in a newspaper but is making its way into homes through the internet. The Supreme Court, mothers, and internet providers agree that pornography is lascivious interest and can be patiently offensive for children to see. But the problem is how the government can constitutionally protect children. Senator Exon proposes, "It would be in the best interest of the people to keep a pristine internet, but we can't turn out back on it just because it's worldwide." Senator Grassley.....
