An analysis of "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare with an emphasis on Romeo's unrequited love for Rosaline and his love for Juliet.

"Romeo and Juliet" is one of the world's most well known love stories. "Romeo and Juliet" is a play written by Shakespeare. His play was first published in 1597. "Romeo and Juliet" is a tragedy play, as the main characters die at the end of the play. When the play was performed in Shakespeare's age, all the parts were played by men. In my essay I'm going to explore the evidence from the play about Romeo in love.

The play of "Romeo and Juliet" is set in ancient Verona. Two families, the Montagues and the Capulets, have an "ancient feud" between each other; they are always fighting each other.
