"Villains have more fun" Discuss.

By Adnan Yassir

Since the beginning of the new era of comics and cartoons, villains play a very vital role during a story. They are society's problem-makers and are usually evil and against all good things. A villain is always the hero's enemy, which makes him "The Bad Guy."

There's no doubt that heroes play a range of important roles in society. From preventing judgment day, to blowing up aliens; heroes have always been there when people needed them. They save the day with confidence, and prepare themselves for another adventure. Despite all this I believe that it's more fun to hang with the bad guys.

In reality being "The Bad Guy" can usually be real fun. Running around causing havoc and breaking all the rules without a hero such as the police getting in your way can be really fun. In many comics, movies and cartoons the villain always has fun, because they always break the law. The law can prohibit many fun things such as dealing drugs and becoming rich, stealing cars, and the all time classic robbing the bank. Therefore by breaking the law which villains always do they have the freedom to have fun illegally.

Another reason that villains have more fun than heroes is that villains are always filthy rich. The average Bond villain has his own private island, complete with a shark tank and blonde bikini-team ninja defense force. Money = happiness. Therefore villains do have more fun because of their wealth. In the movie Scarface featuring Al Pacino, he goes from being poor and useless to becoming filthy rich, just by being "The Bad Guy." Al Pacino plays Tony Montana. Tony Came to America thinking of opportunity. He had no money so he worked in a caravan cooking Cuban take away food. He was pulled into the Cocaine business by is friend. He became rich by shooting people, dealing drugs. He was making well over 6 figures a day just by being "The Bad Guy." Therefore Tony Montana did have fun with all the money and luxuries. He lived in a mansion with high tech security. Sure he is a villain but he's having tons of fun, rather working all of his life in an office somewhere. He may be promoted to own the company some day. But who cares. Business heroes like Donald Trump are so boring. He probably spends his money buying shares, making wise investments, and buying smart suits. Just look at his appearance. It is so boring. For someone with a really fun appearance look at Arnie in Terminator 1, or look at Al pacino in Scarface.

In addition to cash, villains have babes. For a guy, having babes is great. They are extremely fun and always do what you tell them to. Take Scarface again for example. The lady bringing down the drinks in the mansion, she didn't care whether Tony killed her husband. After Tony killed her husband, she married him the next day, because she wants to be with "The Bad Guy", because he has money, power and he is unstoppable.

In my opinion I believe that heroes are so boring. Some might have the most amazing powers ever, just to use to stop crime. Have you ever thought of Superman? He Has X-RAY vision!........ He Has X-RAY vision!....... He Has X-RAY vision! This guy can see anything. He can spy on people, get to know what everybody is up to, he even has the chance to look through locker-room walls and even through the thickest layer of clothing.

Guess what, he uses his X-ray vision to prevent bank robberies. How Boring!!!!!! Therefore from my point it is right to say that Villains have more fun than heroes.

So you see heroes may become the actual "Heroes" at the end of an adventure but I still believe that Villains have more fun. In the end, while it's important to recognize heroes for all that they do for us, it's also important not to forget that if everyone was a hero, the world would be a pretty boring place.
