Three Standpoints on Abortion

Summary: Three arguments about whether abortion should be legal are discussed. Two points in favor of legalized abortion are the safety factor, and women's right to control their bodies. The argument against it is that life begins at conception, therefore abortion constitutes the taking of a life.
When women become pregnant, they have to make a choice as to whether or not they will have the baby. When they are pregnant there are options such as abortion. Abortion is when a pregnancy is ended by removing and destroying a fetus from a mother's womb. Roe versus Wade made it legal for women to get an abortion. This decision pleased some and upset other people who believe that abortion is murder and should be illegal. That is what people are constantly debating.

Even back in ancient times people had laws against abortion. An example of people who had laws against abortions were the ancient Hebrews. The only exception to their laws against abortion was when the mother's life was in danger.
