The Influence of Religions on Chinese Culture

Summary: The various religions present in China have helped shape the country’s culture and ethnicity. The influence and teachings of Confucianism, Islam and Buddhism are explored.
China, or as the Chinese called it, "The Middle Kingdom" was widely known for its rich and diverse culture. This diversity had set them apart from the rest of the world. One of the major factors that has had a substantial influence on China's ethnicity was the different varieties of religions. These include those founded in China such as Confucianism as well as those brought to China in various ways such as Islam and Buddhism. Whether they were traditional, or foreign, religions are what helped shape China's culture.

Confucianism was one of the main religions that has played a significant role in shaping the Chinese society and government. This was mainly due to the fact that Confucian teachings served as a guide to conduct.
