Summary: The government has taken a religious moral dogma to enforce as a law. Refusing homosexuals the right to marry isn't just another law under mala prohibita, it is proof that the government is using religion to prohibit homosexuals from total equality.
Who are we in this world to decide availability of happiness to certain people in this world? None of us can deny that we all are alike in the sense that we all want to love and be loved in return. How can we stare someone in the face and tell them that because of their gender preference they do not deserve to share in the same joy as those who take the heterosexual path in their lives. Being homosexual, for most people, is not a choice. I believe that the people that are truly homosexual are that way because of their genetics when born. Regardless of their preferences in who they fall in love with homosexuals are still people and deserve the same rights as heterosexuals.
