An Analysis of Star Wars

Summary: Analyzes the George Lucas film, Star Wars. Focuses on characterization in the film. Describes how each of the main characters serves a different purpose in the film. Describes the story's plot.
In the movie Star Wars there are many different characters. All the characters serve differerent purposes in the film. Firstly we have the hero of the film, the main character Luke Skywalker whose job it is to attract the attention of the viewer to the main story. There is a second character Obi Wan Kenobi who reinforces the main story and helps the plot move along. There are the comical duo characters of Han Solo and Chewbacca who enter slightly later on but become main characters in the film as they help Luke and Ben. Another comical duo are C3PO and R2D2 who are in the opening scene along with Princess Leia.

The basic plot of the film is a Princess (Leia) has been taken hostage by the Death Star and the hero, Luke Skywalker, tries to rescue her with the help of Han Solo and...
