A man arrives at work and enters his office building to find that the elevator has been shut down for repairs. He is forced to walk up two flights of stairs to his office, but by the time he arrives he is out of breath and has to rest for 10 minutes before going to work. Sam is 50 pounds overweight and struggles to do any minor exercising, including walking and climbing stairs. Sam's health state is not helped by his career and daily work routine. He gets up every morning, eats breakfast and goes to work where he sits, almost all day, working on a computer, processing data and filing reports. He has one, half hour lunch break and another 15 minute afternoon break. There is no way for Sam to get any exercise in this environment.
