A personal essay discussing the hectic nature of school, from a student's perspective.
Why does school take is most of the day? Students want to keep up with school, but is so hard to do when there is not much time. Most students have a job or play sports, after they get home from extra curricular activities there is no more time in the day to really do anything more. School should just have all classes but no lunch or IS. Students have a lot of extra activities beside school and should have a little more time for them in their schedule. Besides working or playing a sport we have to make time for homework, and a lot of it. If we have a lot of homework to do and have to stay up all night then how do we get any rest"
Having to go to school only till 12 o'clock would give a lot more time to do home work. If we got out of school at 12 o'clock then we could spend a lot more time doing homework before we have any extra activities to go to. Having more time to do our homework would give students better grades. First you would have your homework to turn in and you might have learned more, and might even remember it for your test. And if you have better grades then your parents don't get mad or upset and don't punish you. Third can maybe lead to more free time to watch TV or get on the computer. So all together having more time to spend doing homework and the better grades might get into a better college in the future.
All extra activities besides school take about two or three and not having time for different things, some students don't involve themselves. First having less school and more time to do other activities, students tend to look for other things to do besides sitting home. Being more involved means valuable time for learning or getting into shape. Second more young people need their exercise to stay fit. The more available time the more use it can have, the more efficiently we could use that time. Third we could have more time to work, have a job, which is making money and students like to have money. The more time we get to have activities whether it is school related or a job that could enhance our life.
Students stay up late, whether it being for school or just to talk on the phone. Having more time for other activities means getting to sleep earlier and means having more rest for the next early morning at school. First we stay up all night sometimes trying to write essays or trying to finish projects, which means we hardly get any sleep. Well if we don't get much rest then how will we be up and alert for our classes? Second not being able to pay attention in class because you are so tried means not understanding what's going on, which mean not passing. Third, even if we do turn in those projects on time means being tried and not able to stay awake, and getting bad grades. A big problem is getting good enough grades so your parents don't start to yell at you or ground you. Having extra sleep helps you to be more alert and energetic with your classes.
Getting out of school at 12 o'clock would be a big relief to a big stress problem for students. Having more time for homework, jobs, and sleep would be more useful for all the stressed out students. All together we could make better grades while earning some cash and getting enough sleep to pay attention. School being longer has really no use, but taking up efficient time we could be using doing something helpful with ourselves.
