Reviews the Louisa May Alcott novel, Little Women. Summarizes the story. Reflects on why it was enjoyable to read.

Summary: The story of little women starts around Christmas time when the March girls, Meg, Jo, Amy and Bethy show their humility and longing to do good works for others. Right from the start it shows the sister's friendship and love for each other and their family. Through out the story the girls and their mother help their friends and neighbors during their hard times. Some things they did were they feed the hungry Hummel family and care for them, clothe them, and even Bethy takes on the sickness of scarlet fever trying to care for their new baby. Still they sacrifice their own things for the sake of others like giving up their own Christmas Breakfast to give to some one else, or returning Christmas gifts to trade for things to give their mother on.....
