They will support our way of living, our needs in the world. One of the advantages is that the Arctic is filled with natural gas and petroleum. These resources will provide us with easier and long lasting transportation. This will increase the amount of cars or vehicles sold. As a result, of global warming the ice caps melt. So, the other advantage is there will be more ways, routes for transportation. Since, the ice will move out of the way the will be more clearance. For example, people looking for the Northwest Passage, which will be opened soon. There will be many passages open, since these passages will be open there will be a long shipping season. The cost of each trip will cost less because the distance will be shorter, and if the distance is shorter than the use of natural gas and petroleum will be saved. In addition, to that there will be more types of fishes and sea food. This will conclude that they will be an increase fish market. Since there are lots of advantages from the Artic the countries are rushing to get their territory. There is also going to be an increase in the territory of countries. As we see there are many advantages but, there are also many disadvantages as well.

This causes the Artic animals' population decrease. This leads to extinction. Some of the polar animals can't get use to the hotter temperature that we cause for them. The problems don't end here, they continue in more depth. The increase in the water temperature leads to increase in water levels. The islands or countries that are on the coast have to die out. Many of the countries and island will be wiped out cause of increase in water levels. One of the most sad and depressing stories of the melting in the Artic is the disappearing of cultures. In fact, the people of the Artic will not find ice to build their igloos; their cultures won't be alive any more. The Inuit people will also not find their type of food to eat and then their culture will die as well. The stories that they have passed on to their children about ice or igloos will not be passed on anymore since there won't be things they need. These are some of most basic disadvantages that will be caused due to melting in the Artic.
