Indian Myths to Catholic Beliefs

Summary: Creation stories are what a particular culture or religion believe in therefore all of the above are true because of belief in it. The similarities of the Catholic creation story such as original sin, the closeness of the first man and woman, and the first animals prove that religions is similar and different no matter what religions you compare.

No matter how great the difference is in a religion or culture their creation stories all share

common fundamentals. All cultures wonder where they came from and what civilization was like

before they came. All religions also credit a higher power or superior being to the beginning of

creation. No matter how different or far fetched different cultures' creation stories sound to

different people they all share similar characteristics.

This first creation story, The Navajo Origin Legend, by the Navajo tribe is the most

unlike the Genesis creation story. The Navajos believed in four gods, White Body, Blue Body,

Yellow Body, and Black Body oppose to Catholics who believe in one. Anther main difference is

what the humans were made out of. Navajos believed the four gods placed corn, yellow and
