The Famous Five- Emily Murphy, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Louise McKinney, Irene Parlby, and Nellie McClung- were all from Alberta Canada. Thanks to the famous five, Women would not have the rights they have today without these individuals. At a time when social conditions limited the experience of women in Canada, the Famous 5 came forward as examples of women's that were willing to pursue justice.
