The Impact of Expanding Europe

Around the 1400's, Europe experienced a dramatic change in industry and culture. This was due to Nationalism, Imperialism, and Industrialism. This occurred because of something called the Italian Renaissance.

The Renaissance was a huge technical and social advancement in European history occurring from 1350 until 1600. Before it occurred, people lived in very poor conditions and didn't have proper sewage or food. They also followed corrupt leaders that didn't believe in what is called humanism. Humanism is a belief of all people being equal and how life should be valued. This was promoted by a group of people called humanists. They opened schools and studied classic Greek writings and culture. One person named Martin Luther who contributed to the Renaissance was a monk.
