William Shakespeare

W illiam Shakespeare is often referred to as the most famous and undisputedly the best scriptwriter there has ever been for producing such plays as Mac Beth, Romeo and Juliet, hamlet and many more wonderful pieces.

Shakespeare was born on the 23rd of April 1564 in Stratford England; Shakespeare's family consisted of his father, who went by the name of john, his mother Mary and four siblings of which 2 had died before William was born and another passed away after his birth at a young age leaving William to be the last surviving child

John Shakespeare worked as a glove maker, a wool trader and also was involved in money lending and four years after William was born his father was appointed as mayor of Stratford

William Shakespeare first attended school at Stratford's junior school before progressing into the Stratford grammar school, which still stands to this day Shakespeare's career first started when he wrote the three parts of Henry the 6th, the two gentlemen of Verona and Titus Andronicus. His first printed pieces were Venus and Adonis (1593) and the rape of lucrece (1594). These were both dedicated though the earl of Southampton most of the sonnet were probably written around this time, too, although they were not published until 1609 these two pieces are still well known to this day

At this time Shakespeare was living in England married with 3 children 2 of which were twins. He had been married since 1582 to a miss Anne Hathway the daughter of a local farmer at the time of the marriage William was 18 years old and Anne was 26 years of age. Their first-born child was named Susanna two years later Anne gave birth to the twins hamnet and Judith.

William also bought a house back in his hometown of Stratford, which was one of the largest in the town which he use as a holiday house as well as other investment properties around Stratford

Shakespeare's later years in his career were spent writing under the patronage of James the 6th king of England Shakespeare's plays were presented before the court in the royal palace as well as to audiences in the public theatre some plays written in his late career were hamlet, James the 1st accession, Othello, king lear and macbeth

S ome time after this Shakespeare retired to his house in Stratford and stayed there until his death on the 23rd of April 1616 aged 52 and was buried at the holy trinity church two days later and a monument was put up close to his grave in his honor

At this time both his daughters were married and his son had died aged 11 years old

His wife Anne died 7 years later and was buried beside him and Shakespeare's family line ended with the death of his granddaughter (Susanna's daughter) and the Shakespeare's were lost forever. Except for in the many plays which he wrote and his tales still live on today some 400 years later
