`People need to be encouraged to make a change in their lives'. The poem `The Door' by Miroslav Holub, describes the endless possibilities that are possible if you `go and open the door'. The door he speaks of can be either real or metaphorical. He uses repetition to emphasise the encouragement to `go and open the door'. Also by using modifiers such as `if', `as' and `maybe' Miroslav emphasises the idea of possibility. Miroslav entices the reader to change their lives and `open a door', to be spontaneous and to take a chance.
