We live in a high-speed and fast paced world. The way in which we spend our "down time" has also changed. Television is the main source for entertainment and news in U.S. society, specifically for our youth. With this change in our lifestyles an important question arises: What is the future of reading in our new society"

Television seemed to have overtaken reading as a source of entertainment. Children and adults alike prefer to watch television. Television is easier to watch than reading a book or newspaper.
