Summary:
Many wonder whether death sentence is the oppropriate or not. Execution is a very serious word in politics. It is a word that implies the meaning of putting to death as a legal penalty, hence dying because one has offended the law in some way. The world consists of approximately 6,446,131,400 people, all with their own opinion about execution and how people whom have violated the law should be punished.
The path leading to the scaffold was extremely rough, people stood all surrounding a large square in Paris; all were here to attend one purpose, to watch the execution take place. The machine used to execute people during the French revolution, and in other areas around the world was the guillotine. It was a decapitating machine that was named after a French physician by the name of Joseph Ignace Guillotin, whom lived from 1738 to 1814. He has proposed its use in 1789. It consists of two upright posts, ridged on the inside and connected at the top by a crossbeam. A sharp, oblique blade, placed between the grooves, is held at the top of the machine by a rope. Once the rope is released, the blade drops onto the neck of the victim strapped to a board at the base of the machine. Similar execution devices were known before the guillotine, but the guillotine was the most used during the French Revolution.
Execution is a very serious word in politics. It is a word that implies the meaning of putting to death as a legal penalty, hence dying because one has offended the law in some way. The world consists of approximately 6,446,131,400 people, all with their own opinion about execution and how people whom have violated the law should be punished. Based on the seriousness of the violator's act, I believe that people should be executed. Hence, the execution of the violator should be considered only, and only if, the violator has in some way injured innocent people physically, internally, or in their personal lives. If the injured people were seriously hurt, then the violator is to be executed because he/she does not deserve to live amongst us. However, if they are not executed, there are chances that they are bailed out of jail or escape; thus, they remain a threat to innocent people.
As stated earlier, a violator's sentence is concluded based on the seriousness of their act. The suffering of prisoners is the next issue to be addressed. By making prisoners suffer, they are experiencing pain and annoyance due to their negative acts. Personally, however, I believe that prisoners, whom have not committed such a serious act, should not be exposed to suffering. They should be imprisoned for a certain amount of time that varies depending on the action they have done. Nevertheless, prisoners should not be beaten savagely, whipped, or exposed to such harsh actions, unless they have violated another law of the prison. Countries should rate criminals on a five star scale. 1 is not harmful, 5 is seriously dangerous. Criminals with ratings above 3 should be executed, since they are very dangerous. Scales from 3 to 2 should be sentenced to prison for long periods. Scales 1 should be sentence for shorter terms.
There are much better methods to kill people rather than execute them. The guillotine is no longer used nowadays is modern countries. However, there are much better ways to kill people today such as poison injections in their blood streams that would put them to sleep, and then kill them. This method is excellent because it kills the people without making them suffer, and does not cause a mess in the surrounding. Another brutal method that I have personally come up with is as follows; the criminal is placed inside a chest that is his size, then two scorpions are placed inside the chest with the criminal, the chest is then closed and left aside until the violator dies. Other punishments should be used in rural areas, which cannot afford the money for such executions (for example farmlands). Four horses or cows are brought, two tied to the hands of the violator, and two to the legs. The horses or cows are then put to movement, and the violator is then ripped in four pieces. However, this punishment is too brutal to be performed nowadays, hence other punishments, such as rope hanging, should be used in rural areas.
Long ago, the guillotine killed people quickly and without a lot of suffering. However, that was not a good idea. The violators do not suffer, but they die quickly. If the criminals die without suffering, then what is the use since they will not experience a lot of pain as consequence for there actions. Hence, before the criminals are executed, they should experience some kind of punishment equivalent to their actions.
Now we live in the 21st century, we have advanced thoroughly in terms of the way people think. Because some peace exists between countries in the world, people are not thinking of brutal punishments, but they show some mercy. No longer do we use the guillotine or any other death machine that people fear so much. People, in this world, have the right to express their opinion, as long as it is so
