In my early childhood I remember asking my Grandad, "Why are you wearing all those medals on your suit"" He explained to me that he had been to attend an ANZAC Day memorial early morning service. I had no idea what ANZAC was all about, like so many other Australians who don't really understand, until I learnt about the Spirit of ANZAC and how there are so many "ordinary people doing extraordinary things."

The question that many Australians ask themselves is, "What is the ANZAC Spirit and where did it all start"" I feel that it is sad to think that Australians don't even know about the history of their people and how they showed their skills of bravery, determination, courage and will to try and win in the heat of battle.
