Chapter one- INNOCENCE LOST

Chapter one is the first sign in the novel of innocence being lost. This chapter is where you see the first real affects of the war. When Kat tells Ginger about the deaths it show s the first affects. Chapter one introduces us to the characters and shows us how they are similar and how they differ. It shows how they came into being in the army and it shows how they were sort of tricked into it.

"Yes, that's the way they think, these hundred thousand Kantoreks! Iron Youth! Youth! We are none of us more than twenty years old. But young? That is long ago. We are old folk." This supports my title because it shows how Paul is no longer naïve to what war is. He recognizes that this is not.....
