The Crucible

The movie, The Crucible, was a very interestingly strange movie. I believe it depicted the Salem witchcraft trials extremely well. I learned so much more than I was expecting to from the movie. I learned things that I did not believe were true.

One of the major points of the movie that I was most surprised by was that people were being accused according to what the young girls would say whether or not the accusations were true. I was so surprised that young girls like those in the movie would cause such a huge raucous to take place just so that they would not be accused of being witches themselves. One thing I did not understand was how anyone believed these young women. During these periods women did not have much say and I found it hard to believe that anyone would listen to them...
