Abortion: a Con Stance
Abortion is murder. It is the killing of an un-born child. As many people would say, it is the woman's choice to have her baby or not, but you have to realize that it was also the woman's choice to have sex. And yes, there are exceptions to that, such as rape, but I'll go into detail on that later. It was hers, and the man she was with's responsibility to use protection, and they didn't, therefore, they must pay the consequences. And, no, the parents do not have to carry the "burden" of their child's life if they don't want to, because there is another option instead of abortion. It's called adoption. If you choose adoption over abortion then your child can live their life happily, instead of ending up dead, unborn, and used as testing material. The thing is, you just don't know what your child could've become if it's gone. And the impact of knowing this can cause severe psychological trauma to the woman. The fact of knowing your harming children makes most shutter. The fact of getting rid of an "unwanted" child makes people wince. The fact of killing anyone, of any age, is a terrible crime. Yet, people still find abortion o.k.
Some people would ask, "Well, what if the woman, or teenager is raped"" Well, my answer to that is, why punish the child for something you didn't do? The child didn't rape you, its "father" did. And people wouldn't want the reminder, their child, every day of what happened to them. But, as I said before, there are always more options. If you gave your baby up for adoption it would actually have a chance at life. It will have a chance at becoming something great! It will have a chance to one day fulfill its dreams. It will have the chance to become somebody. You wouldn't want to take that chance away, now would you"
Overall, I believe that abortion is wrong and that everyone should have their fair shot at life, I hope you agree. And go hug your mom, because she chose life.
