Summary: Summarizes the Jane Austen novel, Pride and Prejudice. Discusses major themes and character conflicts in the text.
Pride and Prejudice is about two wealthy men, and five daughters. Jane and Elizabeth are the two oldest of the Bennets. The Bennets are a middle class family, with five daughters. Mr. Bingley and Mr Darcy are two best friends that live near the Bennets. Both are very wealthy, and came to the area looking for love. Throughout the story both the men find love in Jane and Elizabeth. Jane and Mr. Bingley are an obvious match, and are talked about in the town. Throughout the story their love was put to the test, by Mr. BIngley moving away for a period of time. Thinking that all was lost, Jane moved on with her life, and decided to try to forget about him. Yet in the end, he came back for Jane and they lived happily ever after. Yet Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth are just the opposite. This...
