With life in this form, everyone is able to create a certain harmony between them, except for those that choose not to believe in combined races. In the novel, Snow Falling on Cedars, by David Guterson, many examples of racism are evident. A combination of a vicious trial and a forbidden love story, this novel depicts the true capabilities of what hate towards ones race is capable of. On the Island of San Piedro, many events in the past have occurred, and those events have affected the trial of a Japanese man named Kabuo Miyamoto. As the war ends, the people of San Piedro have more of a negative view toward the Japanese. Kabuo Miyamoto.....
