Summary:   Questions if human instinct is inherently good or evil. Discusses the development of morality.


Many have debated human nature over the years, when closely examined one can see the true inner instinct for evil in most everybody, but yet the desire for good is always present. The moment a newborn is brought into the world a fragile mind is born which can be molded and ultimately determined by the surroundings in which it thrives. In the end these morals we received through our upbringing guide us along the way, whether one chooses to follow these "inherent guidelines" is completely up to the will of that person. The blatant fact now present though is that every act, whether it is good or evil, is a direct result of a certain selfish desire, but this is when the question arises, does it really matter.
