Summary:   This essay describes the life of the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten. It mentions how he changed Egypt and was the only Pharaoh who was different by proclaiming that all of the gods and goddesses worshiped by the Egyptian people, were not real and there was only one God.


Egypt was probably the most interesting culture of ancient times. The Egyptians built huge temples and obilisques that still stand today. Within a three thousand year time period, there were many great pharoahs who accomplished more than the world leaders of today. Everything remained the same throughout the entire ancient Egypt era - that is, until the time of the pharoah named Akhenaten. He was the first pharoah to ever claim that all of the gods and goddesses worshipped by the Egyptian people, were not real and there was only one god.

Akhenamun, son of Amenhotep the 3rd and Queen Tiye, was rejected as a child. This is known from his absence in the family portraits. He was left at home while his family rejoiced at religious ceremonies. Maybe this was because of his appearance. He was.....
