Lemony Snicket Biography

Summary:   Provides a biography of the mythical Lemony Snicket, author of The Series of Unfortunate Events. Compiles information provided in the popular series of children literature.


You may have read the popular book series "The Series of Unfortunate Events" by the mysterious author Lemony Snicket (who is often represented by Daniel Handler). The books are about the three Baudelaire orphans whose parents died in a fire, and about the many different homes they stay at and people the stay with. It also tells you about the treacherous villain Count Olaf who tries to steal the Baudelaire fortune. Lemony Snicket often mentions in his books a mysterious woman named Beatrice. He refuses to tell anyone anything about this mysterious Beatrice except that he loved her, she married another man, and then she died. There are eleven books in this depressing series with two more to come, equaling the unlucky number thirteen.
