in the early stagesof the play, the main character othello -a black man-controversially marries none other than desdemona of the fairest skin. in this day, interracial couples were looked down apon and desdemonas father, senator brabantio was siding with the public. Brabantio displays his discontentmant with the situation when he is first informed of desdemonas annulment, "O heaven? how she got out? O treason of the blood!
