Summary:   Compares heroes in the contemporary world to legendary heroes from literature, including Beowulf and Grendel.

Throughout history, there have been many who have had an impact on the world and its people. Yet, these individuals are different in many ways, as are the people that perceive them as heroes or heroines. One person may view a certain character as a hero while the other may not understand why. Heroes play a significant role in the lives of all. They are looked upon, admired, and their acts help inspire others to be like them and achieve success of their own. Without heroes, people would not have anyone to look up to and to accomplish their dreams. There are many types of heroes, one of them legendary heroes, the other contemporary.....
