Musings on A Streetcar Named Desire

Summary:   Describes a personal interpretation of the Tennessee Williams play, A Streetcare Named Desire. Writes from the perspective of a director making a film. Details what would be changed, iincluding setting, characters, etc.


In writing this interpretation of a Streetcar Named Desire, I am trying to give the play an entirely new perspective, by changing several settings of the story, but making it so that it can still have the same feeling for the entire story. So basically I am trying to modernize this classic, but make it so that it is still the same plot, and has the same interpretation.

The main characters for this interpretation of the book would be Blanche, Stella, Stanley, and Mitch. I would choose Ashton Kutcher to be Stanley, or someone like him. The reason that I would choose him to act as Stanley's character would be because not only is he a good actor, but in most of his movies or shows, he acts as a real dumb guy. Kind of like Stanley,.....
