A virtue can be defined as many things. A virtue is simply the foundation of humanity. In other words a virtue is a standard by which we humans judge and standardize our behaviors and character based on moral excellence. Each unique virtue depends on each unique individual and how exactly they channel and predicate their emotions. They also depend on a person's life style and the culture they are a part of. Therefore because we all have different beliefs of what is good and bad, our virtues or standards are what make each of us different. For example, a citizen of Sparta would have high standards and virtues based on military values. This isn't the best and most enjoyable method of establishing virtues for it is strict and harsh while most virtuous life styles consist of a golden mean style by Aristotle.
