Unnecessary War
To me war is completely unnecessary, and I personally don't see why conflicts cannot be worked out in some other manner. I do not understand how the killing of innocent people can resolve anything, these people did nothing to deserve what is coming to them, but yet, chances are if there country is in war, they or people they know will be murdered for no good reason. War has been going on for so long, and what I don't get is how people don't realise that it is not the only solution. If you were to ask most Americans, I believe most would agree to the idea that war is wrong, and the war on Iraq is a big mistake.
On my collage I chose a variety of pictures. One that I am happy I put on is a picture of the president of the United States, George Bush. I believe that when most anyone think of war, an image that comes to their mind is George Bush. He is responsible for an abundance of killing overseas in Iraq and surrounding countries. I also chose a picture of a bomb, a lot of people do not realise the severity of war and how it can hurt so many innocent lives, including young children, who don't even know what it is going on. The American flag is also on my collage because to me, America is responsible for so much war, it stands out more then any other country. A young child on my collage has a peace sign drawn on her face, it shows how she wants peace, but really there is nothing she can do to stop this war from going on, she basically has to sit back and accept it. I have a variety of other pictures that show how horrific war can be for everyone, and the misery it can cause.
War needs to be stopped. Right now overseas there is still so much going on that we need to help stop. We in Canada really have no idea how bad war can be. We probably never will, because I believe Canada is a peaceful nation and will remain this way for a long time. I think that we are smarter in the way we act and resolve conflicts. So I am very happy to live in Canada, as opposed to another country that is full of war and terrorism.
