Essay

John Proctor is a farmer living in Salem Massachusetts in 1692. He lived in a community founded by Puritans, who left England so they could have freedom of religion. The Puritans were very strict in their religions values or rules. In this setting we find John Proctor.

He is in the mid of 30's and he's strong physically and cares a lot what the people think about him and his life. Also he is so proud of him and has a very sweet and honest wife.

Adulterer, he has sinned against the morals of his community willing to put people down and ruin their reputation but when the truth came out his reputation would be much more worse than theirs.

Just imagining a situation, if he had no cows in his farm, and he founds out that his neighbor got a lot of healthy cows in his farm, what is he going to do ? Knowing about his personality I would say that he would go to that farm that has a lot of healthy cows and kill all of them or poison them in quiet night.

Then he could buy healthy cows and he was going to be the only farmer with healthy cows in the neighborhood.
