Summary:   A personal essay detailing the evolution of a childhood friendship in China.


We never spoke to each other during the first year of junior high school. We seemed like two guys living in different world. The only thing I know about him was his name. My friends told me that he was a pretty funny guy: always does funny things and speak funny words, which I thought was stupid. I thought we would never be friends.

During the follow summer, I got bored of so much homework and the unchangeable life, I decided to make a journey to Mt. Hua, which was a famous place near the city I lived in. After prepared for everything I need, I got on the bus to the mountain on a Sunday afternoon. When I sat by the window and watched the people outside, suddenly a voice cried out,.....
