America at the start of the 19th century became known as the "melting pot" what this basically meant was that all different kind of nationalities had moved to America which meant they had merged together. Mainly most immigrants came from the Europe side and from China and Africa etc, the reasons for there move was simple, America projected an offer which no other country did such as, better jobs better wages and up to standards living...
