Summary: Examines the film Finding Forrester, directed by Gus Van Sant and starring Sean Connery. Discusses the many struggles faced by main character Jamal. Examines the ethical decisions made by Jamal and other main characters.
Going to school can be a difficult venture, but with the right mentality you will learn lifelong skills and hopefully graduate. When going to school one must face many struggles, including acceptance from fellow students, funding, and difficult classes and teachers, just to name a few. Jamal faced many challenges and still had the determination and motivation to succeed, as I will explain to you.

In the beginning of the movie Jamal, a black student, was enrolled in a public school in the ghetto of New York. He had many friends, who all liked to play street ball.
