The American, French, and Russian Revolutions

Summary:   Reviews the American, French and Russian revolutions. Examines the factors leading up to each revolt. Explains why citizens revolt and discusses reasons for success and failure.


For my Long Term Project, I decided to try to find out the cause of revolts in modern civilization. To help me reach and support my findings I studied the causes of the American, French, and Russian revolutions. I am only studying the causes because my goal in completing this project is to understand better why people revolt and possibly why it may or may not work.

My first topic is the American Revolution. There are a few major events that led to the American Revolution. The first major event was the French and Indian War. This war was between the British and the French with the Iroquois fighting with the British and the Hurons with the French. After losing this war the French gave up on involvement in what was later to be the United States.....
