Preschool are very effective to children's growth because it is the first place where the children are in contact with the world outside their homes. Depending on culture and political systems, each country has its own way to prepare children for their so ial lives. In the United States, children are allowed to grow freely. In contrast, Vietnamese parents and teachers force their children to grow in certain ways. The result is that, besides a few similar basics, Vietnamese preschools and American presch ols are opposite in their

emphasis on discipline or freedom and on collectivism or individuality.
