Capital Punishment, Pros and Cons

Summary:   Analyzes the pros and cons of capital punishment. Maintains that the death penalty should be thoughtfully analyzed and considered to understand that it is a punishment for a human rights violation, not a human rights violation itself. Since the beginning of time, there has always existed the need to give out some rules or principles created to avoid chaos. Every human being is raised with a set of morality and ethics that defines what's wrong and what's right, and every person is taught to fear punishment when acting wrongfully. Capital punishment is a limit and a deterrent of murders. Justice is not about bringing back the dead, neither is it about payback or retribution; it is about enforcing penalty and the cost for one's own actions to endorse personal conscientiousness. As stated in the Pro Death Penalty web page article, there are some clichéd arguments against capital punishment, one of them is the question "why do we kill people to show that killing people is wrong"" (10).
