The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin

Summary:   Reviews the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. Examines Franklin's reasons for writing the book and reveals highlights from Franklin's exciting life.


Benjamin is writing this autobiography for his son to show his successes and failures in his life so as his son will not make the same mistakes. He is growing older and writes so that his words will continue on for his son. He realizes also that he cant go back and change the past, but that he is pleased with what he had accomplished and done in his life so far as he states on pg. 1, "That good fortune, when I reflected on it, which is frequently the case, has induced me sometimes to say that were it left to my choice, I should have no objection to go over the same life from its beginning to the end." He wishes however that he could replay his life again. I think that everyone feels.....
