The Grand Canyon is one of the great wonders of the world, located either side of the Colorado River in Arizona, it is one of the most breath taking spots of natural beauty in the world.

How Was The Grand Canyon Formed"

As the Colorado River cut deeper into the plateau, the earth's crust pushed upwards, giving the river much more Erosional power, thus allowing the river to cut even deeper. This factor was, of course, not entirely responsible for the formation and shaping of the Grand Canyon. Strong winds have also been responsible for the development of the Canyon. Rain has played its part too. One major effect on the 'growth' of the Canyon was the recession of the water at it's end. As the waterfall eroded the rock it.....
