Robert Frost, the Man and His Poetry

Summary:  

Provides biographical detail on American poet Robert Frost and an analysis of his work. Includes a summary and evaluation of several of his best known poems.

Robert Frost is one of the most renowned poets of this century. He was "born March 26, 1874 in San Francisco, California. An intentionally traditionalist poet in an age of internationalized and experimental art, Frost used New England idioms, characters, and settings to recall the roots of American culture and to express a universal experience." He later died on June 29, 1963 at the age of 89. He has won numerous awards for his outstanding work. Personally, he is my favorite poet. His poems guide me in my walk of life. My all-time favorite poem has to be "The Road Not Taken." I have the last quote put up on my wall to remind to take the road less traveled. Overall Robert Frost is just an incredible poet.
