Summary: A personal essay evaluating the pros and cons of conforming to a group versus existing independently from a group. Examines social advantages of group interaction.
Logically it is easier to conform than stand alone, if we all did our own little thing and did whatever we wanted society wouldn't exist. Although most of us believe that governments are just a bunch of lying buffoons. Without them a conformed nation wouldn't be possible, and without a conformed nation everything would tumble into chaos. But unfortunately as much as we dislike and abuse the politicians they are a vital part of our society. This is one reason why we need to conform. It is also a fact that conformity is much easier than standing alone because it is much harder for one person to voice their opinion than a group of people. One point that needs to be made is the fact that without conformity it would be impossible for a community to exist and without community we wouldn't have society.
