Summary: A persuasive essay arguing that the Nicholas Berg decapitation was a failed U.S. government psychological operation rather than an al Qaeda execution.
When found face to face with Jesus, Pilate asked of Him, "What is truth"" (John 18:38). In the world today reality is often hidden underneath what the people are made to perceive. The government uses its power to streamline American conception and sometimes sweeps its dirty business under the rug labeled "media." Television molds popular opinion and turns falsifications into unquestionable certainty. Using tools such as that, the government can psychologically manipulate what people perceive to be the truth. One such shameful cover-up is that of the "terrorist" assassination of Nicholas Berg.

On Tuesday, May 11, 2004, an al Qaeda-linked web site posted a video of an American man identified as Nicholas Berg being beheaded by alleged terrorists (CNN 1).
