The Cuban Missile Crisis was the most difficult thirteen days in American history. During October of 1962, President John F. Kennedy made a choice regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis that affected the entire country. He had the decision to carry out a surgical air strike against Cuba or support a naval quarantine. Although Kennedy had the conclusive voice, the Executive Committee and many other important officials helped the President make the ultimate decision. Every person that Kennedy met with had their own solutions to the problem of the Soviet missiles in Cuba. The Executive Committee scrutinized this situation for over ten days until Kennedy decided on the plan of action. With the help of others, Kennedy made the best decision to keep the United States safe and to avoid mass destruction by a nuclear holocaust. John F.
