When the Japanese conquered most of South East Asia and bombed Pearl harbour on December the 7th, 1942, Australia faced a major crisis, something they hadn't faced before- invasion of Australia. The bombing of Darwin and attack on Sydney Harbour opened up our eyes to the possibility of invasion and brought about many changes for Australia and Australians. Some of these changes were- foreign relations for Australia, the lives of women and the role that they played in society, and most of all the lives and attitudes of Australian men and women.
One huge change for Australia that occurred during World War Two was the change in relationships between Australia and other countries. Australia looked towards the British Empire for help and protection.....
