It is apparent that since only a miniscule percentile of society are first hand witnesses to subjects of new reports, there is a reliance, expectation and trust that current affair programmes will deliver the truth to us. However it is this reliance, expectation and trust that is the metaphoric sceptre in the hands of the media.
