Susan Eloise Hinton is one of the best known and well acclaimed young adult writers of her time. Despite the fact that many of her works such as the Outsiders, had been banned from public schools, due to the more idealistic topics such as gangs, Hinton has managed to succeed in gaining teenage enthusiasm throughout the world.
