Summary:   Describes a myth about the creation of the underwater empire Atlantis though a volcanic eruption.


Walking slowly along the beach, when a mermaid emerges from the deeps of ocean tightly grasping my leg, while the fiery bird gracefully flees past the darkened sky. I wake up to find myself dreaming of nothing more than the many myths and mysteries of the world. Like The Phoenix, and Mermaids, there are also many myths about volcanoes including the story of a beautiful city once known as Atlantis.

Unlike The Little Mermaid, this story does not begin deep below the sea, it initiated in a place known as Santorini in 1500 BC. Long ago, there lived a picturesque, exquisite, and scenic nation known as Atlantis alias, "The Lost Continent." People of great riches and natural resources owned this island, and used it for the center of trade and commence. The.....
